CMTV vs SSPPX: Two indisputable conclusions

https://akacatholic.com/cmtv-vs-sspx/ On July 23, Church Militant published an article written by a freelance writer by the name of James Baresel under the title,  Is the SSPX Sheltering a Sexual Predator? As the article makes plain, the question posed in the title is purely rhetorical, at least insofar as Baresel is concerned. Evidently, it is his and CMTV’s opinion that the so-called “predator” in question (Fr. James McLucas, a suspended diocesan priest who is neither a member of the Society of St. Pius X nor occupies any permanent position therein) is in fact being “sheltered” by the SSPX. Well, not really  sheltered , you see; that was just click bait. In the back-and-forth that ensued between the SSPX and CMTV following the initial article, it appears that Church Militant is accusing the Society of nothing more than allowing Fr. McLucas to “occasionally help” them. I’ll leave it to readers to review the articles under discussion to determine for themselves whether and to what exte

NAMED IN THE PENN. ABUSE REPORT, FR. JAMES MCLUCAS’ PATH OF DESTRUCTION RAN THROUGH CHRISTENDOM COLLEGE

https://stumblingblock.org/?p=12770 by   fgwalkers@att.net At the end of August, the Catholic Herald of the Arlington Diocese published a  notice  saying that one of the former chaplains of Christendom College, Father James McLucas, has been accused of sexual abuse and therefore removed from his last position. Subsequently, a  report  came out about the fact that he made a settlement with a young woman whom he had counseled from the age of 14 on and finally led into a sexual relationship when she was a young adult. In light of these terrible revelations about Father McLucas, Dr. Robert Hickson – a founding faculty member of Christendom College who was  dismissed in 1988 and whose family subsequently broke apart  – gives testimony about the fact that Father McLucas, as the chaplain of Christendom College from at least 1992 until the summer of 1995, had a subversively destructive role in the further break-up of his marriage. He gives specific details about his claim, among other things t
