FBI urges southern NM to report public corruption

LAS CRUCES - The FBI’s Albuquerque Division is combating public corruption with a new campaign aimed at educating southern New Mexico residents on how to identify and report such crimes.
The FBI launched the anti-public corruption campaign Wednesday in Las Cruces with a series of media interviews. It mirrors a similar campaign that was launched about three years ago in Albuquerque, according to Derek Fuller, assistant special agent in charge of the Albuquerque Division.
“We’re asking for the public’s assistance in identifying any types of public corruption,” Fuller told the Sun-News on Wednesday. Fuller, who spoke alongside Supervisory Special Agents Javier Almodovar and Amy Willeke, said fighting public corruption is among the FBI’s top priorities. Eye witness account as reported to The Catholic Monitor:
"On Monday, March 1st, I came home and had a surprise. I saw a firetruck and ambulance and police car. When I got to out of my car I noticed four paramedics trying to restrain my friend."
"I went over to the police officer and asked him what was wrong with my friend, and he proceeded to ask me who I was. I told him I was her roommate and friend and asked again what was going on. He told me that my roommate thought she was have a stroke."
[Note: The Catholic Monitor confirmed with the 66 year old elderly abuse victim that the officer lied to the eye witness in claiming she said "she was hav[ing] a stroke."]
"I walked to the back of my roommate's car for the paramedics were manhandling her, I mean really manhandling her to the point of physically abusing her, in my opinion they really didn't have to use all that force, on a 66 year old woman, that they were using. I notice them trying to put a backboard under her and she was was telling them to leave her alone. Don't touch me she repeatedly said, but thwere were not paying attention to her. They put handcuffs on her so tight on her wrist that her wrists were very sore and bruised the next day"
"If I were a district attorney I would be charging them with abuse of a senior disabled lady! They manhandled her so much it was obvious she was in great pain."
"Also, I saw where the police officer punched her on the mouth that caused her lip to be cut and bleed as well as the after effects of what they had done to her with the handcuffs. Her wrists were very bruised with cuts."
"This was totally uncalled for. Anybody should know not to manhandle a disabled elderly lady. If it were me, I'd be suing somebody."
